North Pole Express
When: Sat and Sun, November 30, December 1, 10am – 5pm
Where: Boothbay Railway Village, 586 Wiscasset Rd, Boothbay
Train conductors at Boothbay Railway Village call “All Aboard” and everyone, young and old, boards the train to the North Pole. Settle into a comfortable seat in the steam-heated passenger car to enjoy the winter wonderland of forest frosted with white snow; weather permitting.
Trolley Caroling
When: Sat, November 30, 4pm – 8pm
Where: Downtown Bath
Get into the Christmas spirit trolleying around the City of Ships admiring the holiday lights, caroling all along. Volunteer elves will be happy to help you reserve your time on the trolley so you can enjoy some local shopping and dinning without waiting in line.
Free tickets will be available beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Important to always check back especially during evenings when inclement weather is expected.
Gardens Aglow
When: Saturday and Sunday, November 30th and December 1, 4pm – 9pm
Where: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, 132 Botanical Gardens Dr, Boothbay
“The magic begins as darkness falls Join us to experience the brilliance of New England’s biggest and brightest light display! With over 650,000 lights, witness the transformation of our central gardens into an extravaganza of festive lights in a dramatic display of brilliant color. This year, we’re taking our dramatic display to new heights, incorporating—for the first time—our magnificent sculpture exhibit, Unearthed, by artist Steve Tobin.”
Small Business Saturday
When: Sat, November 30, 8am – 8pm
Where: Your home town
This is a great time to shop locally and support the small businesses in your town that contribute to your neighborhood. Or as I like to think of it, spend your money where you can yell at the owner instead of at the call center.
